Proverbs 11:16-21
A gracious woman gets honor,
and violent men get riches.
A man who is kind benefits himself,
but a cruel man hurts himself.
The wicked earns deceptive wages,
but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.
Whoever is steadfast in righteousness will live,
but he who pursues evil will die.
Those of crooked heart are an abomination to the Lord,
but those of blameless ways are his delight.
Be assured, an evil person will not go unpunished,
but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered. (ESV)

Look around you, there are random acts of kindness going on all around. Believe it or not, I even see it from the 7th and 8th graders I teach! Someone will drop books in the hallway and many kids will walk by, some may even kick them down the hall, but some kind student will always stop to help. A teacher struggles to get in the door with arms full of books and bags and someone jumps in to open it. All of us are capable of being kind. I once heard that if someone is kind to you, you should pass it on to another, and so on. What acts of kindness could you do today?
