Proverbs 3:31-35
Do not envy a man of violence
and do not choose any of his ways,
for the devious person is an abomination to the Lord,
but the upright are in his confidence.
The Lord's curse is on the house of the wicked,
but he blesses the dwelling of the righteous.
Toward the scorners he is scornful,
but to the humble he gives favor.
The wise will inherit honor,
but fools get disgrace. (ESV)

As I write this devotion, I am using a “rainbow study bible”. It is highlighted according to a color-code. This passage has an interesting pattern. The colors in the passage went back and forth between gray and blue. The gray highlighting denotes sin, and the blue denotes salvation. As I read the passage, it was a striking visual reminder that where there is sin, God has also provided for our salvation. As you enter into the Sabbath, thank God for his salvation and praise him for his grace! Then, go forth and share that joy with others.
