Proverbs 11: 27-31
Whoever diligently seeks good seeks favor,
but evil comes to him who searches for it.
Whoever trusts in his riches will fall,
but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf.
Whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind,
and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
and whoever captures souls is wise.
If the righteous is repaid on earth,
how much more the wicked and the sinner!

I have found that if I get up in the morning, dreading the day that tends to stay with me all day. The people around me get on my nerves, and things just don’t seem to go right. If, however, I choose to look for the good in the day, things seem to go much smoother! I find that I have more patience for those I encounter through the day and am more likely to smile in the face of frustration.
God is the ultimate source of goodness. Each day, we need to seek Him. As we seek him out and focus on him and his desires, we will find goodwill. He will give us the strength to stand against temptation and evil. He will give us patience and endurance. He will lift us up. This Sabbath, take some time to seek out the Lord and his goodness, you will find blessings in doing so!
