Lamentations 3:55-59

“I called on your name, O Lord,
from the depths of the pit;
you heard my plea, ‘Do not close
your ear to my cry for help!’
You came near when I called on you;
you said, ‘Do not fear!’

“You have taken up my cause, O Lord;
you have redeemed my life.
You have seen the wrong done to me, O Lord;
judge my cause. (ESV)

Have you ever felt like your life was in such a state that no one could really understand? Have you ever been at such a place where you did not know what to do? Trust that God understands those times even when you don’t have the words to speak and all you can do is cry. God knows what those tears mean. Use those times to bring freedom to your soul. God wants you to come to him because he is the only one who can provide a solution to those tears. Verse 59 recognizes that real deliverance comes from the judgment of God. Are you really ready to have God purge your life?
