Luke 2:51-52
And he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was submissive to them. And his mother treasured up all these things in her heart.
And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man. (ESV)

Here we see another situation where Mary is given things to treasure in her heart. I believe even though she knew Jesus was God’s Son she didn’t fully understand what his life held for him. Think about the times when you treasure things in your heart. A child’s birthday party, a walk through the garden with an elderly friend, a special vacation, or a time God spoke something special to you in prayer or through Scripture.
When we treasure things in our hearts, we store up strength and encouragement that we can call upon through times of heartache and struggle.
