Leviticus 19:17-18

“You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him. You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord. (ESV)

by Paula Davis

God longs for us to love him above all things, and to love ourselves as he loves us. This true love becomes not an attitude of arrogance or pride, but a satisfaction that God is enough for us. As we become fulfilled by his grace and love, we stop longing for what others have and stop holding grudges against others because of the discontent in our hearts.
