Luke 6:34-36
And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. (ESV)

The word grace appears 124 times in the Bible, including reminders that our salvation is due to God’s grace and not from anything we can do on our own (Ephesians 2:8). And the grace God gives to us he expects us to impart to others. Grace involves giving wholly, completely and without regard for what we may receive in return. God wants us to give to others when they don’t deserve it. In doing so we bless them and exemplify the ultimate grace God offers to all who will receive it.
