Luke 11:9-12

And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? (ESV)

Are you ever guilty of believing that something isn’t important enough to pray about? I can be a very independent woman, and sometimes asking for help is very difficult for me. There are a couple of things wrong with this. First, we were not intended to face life alone. God created Eve because he didn’t think it was good for Adam to be alone. God intended us to support each other daily, not just in the most difficult times. We need each other and need to learn to accept help from each other. The other thing to ask yourself when you’re in a situation where you’re reluctant to ask for help is how you would feel if your friend or family member was going through the same situation and didn’t ask for your help. You most likely should be asking.
