Psalm 66:1-7
66:1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth;
sing the glory of his name;
give to him glorious praise!
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you.
All the earth worships you
and sings praises to you;
they sing praises to your name.” Selah
Come and see what God has done:
he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.
He turned the sea into dry land;
they passed through the river on foot.
There did we rejoice in him,
who rules by his might forever,
whose eyes keep watch on the nations—
let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah (ESV)

As you close your day today, look back and praise God for all the great works he did in your life just today. Praise him for the times that a conflict was resolved or avoided because he was present. Praise him for the times of peace and quiet he provided, if only for a minute. And praise him for the good things you have all around you. So often I end my day looking back at what I could have done better or looking ahead and asking for help with the potential issues of the following day instead of praising him for what he has accomplished in my life that day. Sometimes we have to look hard to recognize what God has done at the end of a hard day; but if we look, we will find God throughout our day. He deserves our praise for that.
