Luke 18:28-30
And Peter said, “See, we have left our homes and followed you.” And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life.” (ESV)

There are many Christians who struggle to make ends meet and don’t know what they are going to live on in retirement age. Many may wonder what they are receiving as a reward on earth for being a follower of God. But if these same people could see the lives they have touched through their generosity or hear the praise lifted in their honor by others they would realize that their reward far outweighs money and things. Ask God to show you some of the things you’ve gained. You will probably be amazed to see the positive certainly outweighs the negative.
