2 Chronicles 6:41-42
“And now arise, O Lord God, and go to your resting place,
you and the ark of your might.
Let your priests, O Lord God, be clothed with salvation,
and let your saints rejoice in your goodness.
O Lord God, do not turn away the face of your anointed one!
Remember your steadfast love for David your servant.” (ESV)
by Linda Harris
Do you remember reading these words last week in Psalm 132? God pledged to bring his ark to the holy temple, and now Solomon remembered God’s word.
What has God promised to you? Do you tend to forget those commitments? Consider starting a promise notebook, writing in it any assurances God reveals to you through his Word or through the Holy Spirit. Then you can review them whenever you need reassurance of God’s faithfulness.
