Hebrews 12:12-13
Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed. (ESV)
by Leota Stevens
Ever had one of those days where you’re so dog-tired you feel you can’t take another step? Ever had a sore knee and had to walk on a slanted roadway that caused your weight to shift onto that damaged joint until it felt as though it would dislocate? When the pathway straightens out, it sure takes the pressure off the things that hurt. Taking time to renew our relationship with the Lord and rev-up our spiritual vitality helps stabilize our hands as they hold onto faith. When the burden we carry is transferred over to God’s keeping, then our feeble knees have a chance to heal as we walk a straightened pathway that follows the footsteps of our Lord.
