1 Thessalonians 5:16-22
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil. (ESV)

Martha Stewart has accumulated a vast fortune through her business of instructing others on how to improve their homes, their cooking, their gardening and their lives. Many of her supposed gems of practicality I find cumbersome and frivolous. God’s gems of wisdom found in this passage of scripture are life-changing. Rejoice no matter what the circumstances, pray always, make every day Thanksgiving, don’t quench the Spirit, test all things, hold onto all the good things you have learned, abstain from all evil and voila! You have found the will of God for your life.
