1 Peter 4:7-11
The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. (ESV)

I admit it: I am often tired and feel stretched to my limit! I work full time, teaching students who generally do not want to be taught. I have four children of my own and run around all day meeting their needs and fall into bed at night with one or more saddled up against me because they need a cuddle. I have a husband who needs support and companionship. I am also involved in numerous activities at church. Most days, I feel stretched and tired. However, I have found it to be strangely true that when I stop, turn my day over to God, and rely on his strength, things seem to go oddly well. We need to rely on his strength because we cannot do it on our own. As we rely on God’s strength, we have the energy and heart to serve others, and he is glorified in our actions!
