Just as Moses went to God on behalf of the Children of Israel, we can intercede for others. Intercessory prayer is a gift we sometimes forget to use. When people ask us to pray for them, it is a blessing and a responsibility to do so. There have been times when I became acutely aware that I was being held up in prayer by Christian friends. Prayer has great power, for it links us with heaven. A telephone conversation can join two people a world apart, but prayer sets us before the throne of God when we pray in our Savior’s name.
