Psalm 135:13-18
Your name, O Lord, endures forever,
your renown, O Lord, throughout all ages.
For the Lord will vindicate his people
and have compassion on his servants.
The idols of the nations are silver and gold,
the work of human hands.
They have mouths, but do not speak;
they have eyes, but do not see;
they have ears, but do not hear,
nor is there any breath in their mouths.
Those who make them become like them,
so do all who trust in them! (ESV)

What kind of carvings do your idols have? Keyboards, remote controls, ear buds, touch screen? Our days are filled with false worship of empty gods. God is everlasting but things are temporary. What happens when you drop your phone in a puddle or spill soda on your keyboard? Do we take as much time to repair our relationship with Christ as we do having our phone or laptop replaced? Let’s pray today that we recognize the living God and his place in our lives.
