Lamentations 3:22-26

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”

The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.
It is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord. (ESV)

Our family enjoys watching the deer feeding off the apple trees in our backyard and from the apples that have fallen to the ground. When winter comes and it gets harder for them to find apples, we sometimes put fresh apples out on our deck for them. We don’t ever see the deer on our deck but the apples are gone every morning. Sometimes God’s hand is like that. We do not directly see it, but we see evidence that He has been at work. Let’s pray today for patience as we wait for God’s faithfulness to be revealed.
