Psalm 103:1-5

103:1 Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and all that is within me,
bless his holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits,
who forgives all your iniquity,
who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,
who satisfies you with good
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. (ESV)

“Children are a gift from God, they are His reward.” (Psalm 127:3) When our children are young, we take care of all their needs, protect them from harm, and love them unconditionally. We even forgive them when they make mistakes. Their unconditional love returned to us is our blessing from them. As children of God we have that same caring and protection from our Heavenly Father. Our blessing to Him should be the same love we receive from our earthly children. Let’s pray today that we “forget none of His benefits.”
