Psalm 103:6-10

The Lord works righteousness
and justice for all who are oppressed.
He made known his ways to Moses,
his acts to the people of Israel.
The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
He will not always chide,
nor will he keep his anger forever.
He does not deal with us according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our iniquities. (ESV)

We’ve all heard fairy tales with their happily ever after endings. The hero and heroine usually have to go through some tough times, caused by the local villain, before they get to the happily ever after. The story might end differently if they focused on revenge instead of their love for each other. As believers of Christ, imagine how much happier our ever after will be if we focus on our love for God and let Him take care of the villain. Let’s pray today for the ability to be “slow to anger.”
