Colossians 1:15-19

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, (ESV)

by Tabatha Pethtel

When my son was younger he used to ask me who God was and what God looked like. This is a common question for many young children as well as some adults I know. Paul explained to us that Jesus is the reflection of God the Father. God is invisible, but Jesus shows us what the Father is like and that we should not search for Him in any other thing or in any other place. How often do we wander away from Jesus in search of the Father in other things or places that have become the “idols” of our lives?
