Scripture Memory Verses
2007-2008
Theme: “A Limitless God For A Hungry People!”
The Scripture Memorization Program? for 2007-2008 Conference Year will focus on Conference President Andrew Samuels’ theme: “A Limitless God for a Hungry People!”
The Board of Christian Education has chosen these verses to be memorized by the family. Anyone who prefers may memorize one or more of these verses from a different Bible version.
A list of persons from each church who have completed this Scripture Memorization Program should be submitted to the Board of Christian Education Office. The postmarked deadline is July 2, 2008. These people will be honored at General Conference.
All Scripture quotations in this list are from the HOLY BIBLE, NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION® NIV® Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society.

A Second Path to Participate
- DO WHAT YOU’VE ALWAYS DONE: MEMORIZE 9 PASSAGESOr, You may Memorize Isaiah 55 to participate in the program
The 2007-2008 Scripture Memorization Program has two ways to complete the requirements.
- You may complete the program the way you have always done—memorize the nine verses that highlight the General Conference president’s theme. If you choose to do this, nothing changes.
- Or, You may exercise your memory to a greater degree—memorize the Bible chapter chosen to work with the overall program. In 2007-08, this is Isaiah 55. If you chose to do this, instead of using the Scripture Memory brochures and having someone sign-off verse-by-verse, you will memorize the whole chapter and recite the whole chapter at one time in front of someone designated by your church (pastor, Sabbath-school teacher, Christian Education chair, etc).
Both ways count: Either way, you will complete the requirements for this year’s program. Your church will submit one list of participants, a certificate will be made with your name, and your name will appear in a Sabbath Recorder.
