We obey God when we choose to honor our parents in their time of need. Following this command brings us closer to God’s will for our lives, and it also models an example to the younger generations. If we love and care for our parents into their final years, God will honor our faithfulness and bless our lives. This command shows God’s love for the family unit and emphasizes caring for the people who raised us. Spend time this week considering ways in which you can honor your parents, even if it requires personal sacrifice.
