—Romans 13:8-10

We are called to live radically differently than what human nature tells us to. Our sinful nature tells us to watch out for ourselves and let everyone else fend for themselves. Because we are united as a family of believers, we are obligated one to another. We are told to outdo one another in blessing each other and in caring for one another. We are to see that each other’s needs are met and to be genuinely concerned for our brothers and sisters in Christ. This principle is what Jesus called the second greatest commandment: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39). How are you loving others today?
