—Matthew 27:32-44
by: Gem Barton.
In those final moments, our Lord was accused of not being able to save Himself. We know His Father could have saved Him. Luke 4:28-30 records that once, when the Jews tried to harm Him, Jesus did save Himself. This time it was different, though. The hour had come for Him to lay down His life for His friends (John 15:13). That day, they placed a caption over His head that read, “This is Jesus the King of the Jews.” Today we honor him as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He is our Savior. How will you respond to Him? Will you allow Him to save you?
