Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

A new game came out this year called “Among Us.” In the game, you are on a spaceship that has been invaded by an alien, also known as “the imposter,” and you are trying to figure out who the imposter is. 1 John 4:1, 4-6 instructs us to do a similar thing. We must be aware that there are false teachers and spirits in the world and constantly be turning away from them. We should daily seek out God’s voice in our lives so that we can maintain our relationship with Him, rather than mistaking an “imposter’s” voice for His.
