—Acts 10:19-33
by: Dorothy Noel.
Cornelius and Peter were an unlikely pair—the former, a Roman military commander; the latter a Jewish fisherman turned disciple of a new religion. Both feared God and obeyed His commands without hesitation. When Peter brought along other believers and Cornelius gathered his family and friends, it ensured that even more than the two of them would be changed by the meeting. Though neither of them knew what to expect, obeying God’s commands bore fruit in their lives and the lives of many others. Though we may think we are sharing the gospel with only one person, God may use that faithfulness to reach the lies of many others.
