—1 Thessalonians 3:1-6
by: Jasmine Lynch.
Everyone wants to be loved—but to be loved, one must first love others. What was Paul describing they could not endure (v.1)? We can find the answer in 1Thessalonians 2:17-20. In Athens, Paul and Timothy were separated from the brethren in Thessalonica. They made many attempts to visit, “But Satan hindered us” (v.18, KJV). You can feel the love had for them: “You are our glory and joy” (v.20). Paul and Timothy could not endure the separation, so Paul sent Timothy “to establish you and encourage you concerning your faith” (v.2, NKJV). Pray today for lone Sabbath-keepers, and for those who are sick and shut-in. They need to be loved by us.
