—Luke 17:1-4

Jesus was very practical in His teachings, so we need to listen to Him and not make excuses when we cause others to stumble. He knew that in our weakness, some stumbling is inevitable. But we should not be causing each other to stumble. The consequences for doing so are harsh (see v.2). In spite of this, it is our responsibility to intentionally forgive others as many times as they ask for forgiveness. There is no limit to forgiveness. We must keep on forgiving when asked to do so. How many times have you said, “That’s it! I am through with you?” From Jesus’ point of view, this is not an option. Keep forgiving!
