—Psalm 41:8-10; John 13:21-30
by: Dale Rood.
How could Jesus do it? You would think if He knew He was to be betrayed and by whom it would happen that He would have turned His back on that person or at the very least taken Himself out of harm’s way. Instead, Jesus served the very man who would betray Him by giving Judas a piece of bread. Jesus did not try to stop this man from what he was about to do. He knew God’s purposes must be fulfilled, and that the fulfillment of those purposes would be ugly. Yet you can still sense His heart of longing love for even Judas Iscariot.
