—Philippians 3:1-6
by: Kay Samuels.
Most times, when one introduces an important person, their life’s achievements are front and center declaring their reason for being so important. Most of us take pride in our achievements. After all, we worked very hard for them. Paul could have boasted about his numerous achievements. Instead, he said, “Nothing is as wonderful as knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have given up everything else and count it all as garbage. All I want is Christ” (Philippians 3:8, CEV). Paul’s priorities had changed. What about you and me? What do we place above our relationship with Christ? If our priorities are off, today is a good time to set them right.
