—2 Samuel 11:1-13
by: Andrea Pozo.
Let’s look at the trail that led to David’s tragedy of sin. As a king, David was supposed to be at war, yet he stayed home. When he saw a beautiful woman bathing, he had to decide: “What do I do about this woman, who isn´t my wife?” His decision was to inquire further. When he did, he learned that she was married to one of the “mighty men of David.” This information did not stop him; once again, David chose to continue with his plan. 1 Peter 5:8 tells us that Satan is prowling like a roaring lion. David heard the roar and chose to ignore it. Are there any roars you have decided to ignore? Or are you lying to yourself, saying that you were blind-sided into sin? May we heed the warnings and run the other way.
