—Psalm 25:1-15
by: Jasmine Lynch.
What is your attitude when you have done wrong? Do you try to justify it with past good and your relationship with God? David tried to do that: “O my God, I trust in You; Let me not be ashamed” (v.2, NKJV). He pleaded with God to protect him from his enemies, but soon realized that humility and dependence on God was his only way out of his dilemma. So, he acknowledged the greatness of his iniquity and asked for pardon (v.11). At this point, David realizeed the benefit of fearing the Lord: God teaches, guides, protects, and grants prosperity (v.12-15).
