—1 Thessalonians 3:6-13
by: Richard Crouch.
The fruits of labor are very rewarding. I enjoy doing things with visible results. That's why I don't mind doing dishes or raking leaves. There are immediate, visible results.
Unfortunately, our efforts on God's behalf don't always produce fruit immediately. It may take years for the seeds we plant to grow, or they may never grow at all. Paul was so pleased by Timothy's report of the Thessalonians' faith and love that he couldn't thank God enough for the joy it brought him. All of our labor for God on earth is worth it because of the unspeakable joy that waits for us in heaven.
