—Acts 26:24-32
by: Susan Bond.
Had Paul's friends heard the parting conversation of Agrippa and Festus, they would have likely questioned Paul, "Why did you appeal to Caesar? You could have been free!"
Ironic, isn't it? Paul, in chains, was freer than anyone in his audience, free to obey the living God.
Do you suppose that Paul ever forgot the end goal and felt sorry for himself? If so, I'm glad that God gave him words of encouragement to pass to us, words like, "Do everything without complaining.so that you.shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life" (Philippians 2:14-16, NIV).
