—2 Peter 1:3-12

I recently repaired a porch roof. As I walked back and forth on the roof, I became familiar with where I was. I allowed my mind to wander to other places. In turn, I tripped. It turned out okay. However, forgetting where I was and what I was about could have been catastrophic—a trip over the edge.
Likewise, we cannot afford to forget where we are with God. When we let our mind wander to places we would rather be—places that do not bring glory to God—we will stumble. Paul promises that when we remember where we are and do what we are supposed to be doing, we will never stumble. Don’t let your mind wander—be diligent, be fruitful.
