—Acts 3:12-26
To me this scripture is a marvelous example of correction and rebuke filtered through love. Peter pointed out the crowd’s responsibility in the death of Jesus through either direct participation or simple inaction—a responsibility Peter once shared due to his denial. At the same time, Peter put the main focus on the fact that our guilt does not matter. Jesus beat death and is the path to salvation. He let the crowd know that they could repent, regardless of any wrongdoing (even participation in the death of Jesus), and accept Jesus to receive salvation.
