—Colossians 2:6-15
by: Gabi Patz.
A friend was once driving his motorcycle with his son on the back. He looked back and his son had his head thrown back and arms wide open, fully trusting his dad would keep him safe. I would never be able to do this; I would be too worried about all the things that could go wrong. But as a child, all my friend’s son felt was faith and freedom. Sometimes, it is easier for new Christians to walk by faith. As we grow in our spiritual journey, we often start to create boundaries or rules for our faith, making it harder to simply trust God. This passage reminds us to stand strong in the faith we originally had so we can be rooted and built up in Christ. There is nothing we can add to the salvation He has already won.
