—Psalm 32
by: Victoria Richards.
“If we confess our sins, [God] is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9, NIV). Confession is important. David said that when he kept silent, his bones wasted away through his groaning all day long (v.33). But when he acknowledged and confessed his sin before God, God heard and forgave him. In order to be forgiven, we should acknowledge that we are wrong and truly confess to God. When God forgives us, we are forgiven; He will remember our sins no more; He is not a God that holds grudges. So let go of the past, embrace the forgiveness that Jesus freely gives, and go and sin no more.
