—John 9:17-25
by: Kay Samuels.
“Once I was blind but now, I can see.” As a child, I remember that being a recurring phrase when an adult got up in church to give a testimony. For the man born blind it was not just a recurring testimony; it was a testimony of transformation. He received his sight, and his life would never be the same. He could not tell how or why he was healed but he knew that he had experienced a miracle. And he was willing to share that, even at the threat of being thrown out of the synagogue. We may not know the how or why of our salvation, but we, like the man born blind, can definitely testify of the internal change we have experienced.
