—Matthew 7:7-14
by: Dale Rood.
“Ask, seek, and knock” is not a whimsical invitation to ask for whatever little thing we may desire. This is for people with a Kingdom mindset, people who seek first the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 6:33), people who are entering the narrow gate that leads to life (v.14). Are you one of those people? Asking, seeking, and knocking are three aspects of prayer. Asking is where many people stop in their prayer, and its meaning is fairly clear. Seeking is allowing hunger and thirst for God to prevail in our lives. Knocking is an expectancy that we will see God working through our prayers.
