—Luke 19:28-40
by: Gem Barton.
At the beginning of His crucifixion week, Jesus entered into Jerusalem on a donkey, having given two disciples specific instructions on where to find it. The colt had never been ridden and was now walking on cloaks spread on the ground, carrying Jesus. The response was overwhelming, with the crowd shouting, “Blessed is the King, the One who comes in the name of the Lord” (v.38). When asked to rebuke His disciples, Jesus said, “If these stop speaking, the stones will cry out” (v.40). Will you praise Him or allow stones to take your place?
