—Psalm 22:1-11, 28-31
by: Kaymian Weekley.
The conditions of suffering can cause us to question and complain. However, our faith should caution us to focus on the facts. God’s love secures us, and nothing can separate us from it. The perceived lack of consideration which triggers our sorrows can make way for our grief and influence how we see God. It is human to err, but Christlike to trust. We can feed our spirit by continuing to exercise faith over the surging fear of our circumstances. Do not neglect prayer and train your heart to listen, because when our circumstances get loud, we can be tempted to feel despair. David complained but he also prayed. What we are called to face is not greater than God’s grace.
