—Psalm 22:1-2, 7-19
by: Gem Barton.
The human part of Jesus cried out in anguish, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me” (Mathew 27:46). God allowed His Son to suffer and die for us so that we might have salvation. Our salvation plan was carefully crafted by God. This plan was obeyed by Jesus (Hebrews 5:7-9). Is there any time when you are enduring situations that are harsh that you cry out to God, asking Him why He has forsaken you? When these moments occur, remember that God sacrificed His Son, who was without sin and who was dear to Him, for your sake. He promised never to forsake you.
