When we recognize that our success comes from a faithful God, how do we measure it? Does it have to be perfectly complete—100% good? Lot escaped, but in the process, he lost his wife and two potential sons-in-law. He had to leave behind his home, his source of income, friends, money, and all material goods. He and his daughters had no clothing, food, nor drink for another day. Could we rejoice if we were in Lot’s shoes? Sometimes we only attribute God’s faithfulness and mercy to situations where all of our needs are met. What are God’s priorities? What is God’s definition of success and faithfulness?
