—John 10:11-18
by: Dale Rood.
The Good Shepherd cares for His sheep. Does that give you comfort? It does me. It is so refreshing to know that the Good Shepherd will stop at nothing to care for His sheep—to care for you and me. He willingly lays down His life for His sheep. Why is it necessary that He willingly do this? Could it be that the wolf is already among the sheep? It is not so much a matter of keeping the wolf out as it is a matter of getting Him out. We are living in Satan’s dominion. To get rid of that wolf, the shepherd must willingly give His life in order to “buy out” the dominion of the wolf.
