—John 4:25-42
by: Andrea Pozo.
Many socially unconventional things took place in this passage. However, Jesus was never bound by the traditions of His time, but by the will of the Father. He never sinned or disobeyed His Father, and yet He did many things that society of His time frowned upon. In this case, overlooking the socially accepted rejection of Samaritans, he used a Samaritan woman to tell others about Him. The result was that many people in that region believed, at first by the words told by the woman, but later because they had a personal encounter with Jesus.
