—Acts 19:21-31
by: Gabi Patz.
It can be easy to think that we do not struggle with idolatry. After all, we are not building gold statues or worshiping at the temples of false gods. However, that does not mean that we do not have things we idolize. Today, we often idolize things such as fame, money, beauty, status, jobs, and clothes. Acts 19:21-31 shows us that God will destroy everything that tries to compete with His glory. When we follow God, we are called to repent from our idolatry and worship Him alone. When we recognize His true glory and power, it becomes evident that nothing else could measure up. It is time to examine our priorities—what are you prioritizing over God?
