—Deuteronomy 22:1-4
by: Victoria Richards.
According to Jesus, the second greatest commandment is: “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39). Loving our neighbors means we will genuinely care for them and their wellbeing. We treat them as we would want to be treated. Just as mentioned in today’s passage, if we see that our neighbor’s sheep is straying, let us not ignore it, but take it back to them. Probably not many of our neighbors actually own sheep. But we understand the principle of watching out for them. These small acts of kindness go a long way in loving our neighbor, and they make us more and more like Jesus. Let’s love and do good to all those with whom we come into contact. Love conquers all.
