—Mark 15:33-41
by: Andrew J. Camenga.
Rejection is hard to take. Knowing that those for whom you care do not want to know you, your ideas, or your presence is awful knowledge. As Jesus hung on the cross and bore humanity's sin, he bore the rejection of God for humanity's sin. At that moment, he experienced in a significant way the pain of being cut off, the pain of being forsaken.
Rejection was tangible for the one who came to restore fellowship.
