—Numbers 20:1-13

There is a big difference between God’s wrath and man’s. God is always justified in his anger. Jesus said, “But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment” (Matthew 5:22). Christians sometimes try to justify anger. Only Christ had the quality of “righteous indignation,” because he was perfect. The temper needs to be committed to God, allowing him to change us and be Lord of our lives, instead of thinking we have a right to be angry. Our anger hurts us and it does not bring glory to God.
